Michael C is a talented DJ and successful producer coming from The Czech Republic where he has been performing since 2004. Hence Michael managed to work his way up to a respected DJ who has created his own original sound...
...which doesn't let anybody calm on the dancefloor. His popularity is emphasized by his relaxed performance behind the DJ booth completed with spontaneous and active communication with his audience. Either you hear Michael playing in a small club or on the big indoor event you can be sure that he throws a raging party! Nowadays Michael concentrates on his music production; he remixes many of well-known and also newcoming producers, he keeps on improving his studio and he thinks of his first album. It goes hand in hand with his next target - let know more about Michael C abroad.
As far as characterizing of Michael's sound concerned we have to say that Michael C has never forgotten his trance roots, even though he completes his final sound with actual unique elements from other styles. He combines trance, electro and techno in one entertaining cross-over which gives his sets plenty of positive energy.
In 2004 Michael started to gather his first DJ experience in small clubs, in Pardubice he kicked off with his first resident night Re:Fresh Live! and later that year in December he played at his first big party in KC Karlov Benešov with Marc van Linden. Next year, thanks to his successful performances Michael gets to play at party Reflections in T-Mobile Arena in Prague with Armin van Buuren, summer festivals Summer of Love, Machac with Paul van Dyk. Michael C drew attention of every Czech clubber by performing at Tiesto CEE Tour 2005 in Prague where he played his music in front of 15.000 party people as the only Czech DJ.
In following years Michael C starts his resident night EnTrance in a legendary club Roxy in Prague, successfully presents his incommutable feeling for music at the first edition of Transmission party with Ferry Corsten, regularly performs at Czech and international festivals (Be Okey Léto, Summer Of Love, Sundance, Trnkobraní, MTV BeeFree, Hradhouse, Creamfields Central Europe, Maddox Open-Air and many others), presents himself at the best clubs in The Czech Republic and strengthens his position on the domestic scene.
This has been reflected in different annual polls, where Michael C found his name on top positions. He hasn't missed TOP 10 of DJ of the year category in Dance Music Awards for 3 past years (highest 3rd). He was awarded as the best Czech DJ by music server Trance.cz 2006 and by DJz.cz in 2007. Michael C often appears on different media: he was a guest in a dance music magazine Frisbee on TV Óčko, he guided a team of Hungarian TV show Laptop DJ on RTL COOL TV, he is a regular guest on radioshow ClubMix on Danceradio, his sets are broadcasted on best-known internet radios DI.fm, ETN.fm, in Mexico on Masmusic.fm, in Poland on RMI.fm and in Scotland on Radio Oban.
In 2006 Michael C started to put all his effort into music production. Two years later his releases his official tracks all around the world on the well-known servers like Beatport or iTunes. First success came shortly - Dutch producer and DJ Joop chose Michael's remix of track Old Monitor among his TOP 10, techtrance track Penetrate was one of the most sold tracks on Audiojelly and Trackitdown for a long time and most of his releases found their place in DJ bags around the world and in radioshow playlists in USA, Brazil or Russia.
Michael's music production is characterized by incorporating of distinctive sounds, highups and melodies, it is a blend of trance, electro and techno. Besides his own tracks Michael C has produced a plenty of remixes - for DJ Neo, music band Bek Ofis or Slovak producer Robert Burian - just to name a few. Nowadays the brand new track Bubble is out of Michael's music workshop, track Export which is the result of promising cooperation with Jen Luc is just about to be finished and Michael C is also preparing his new EP.
Michael C is being recognized more often outside of The Czech republic. He performed several times in Germany, he is a regular guest in Slovakia, fans could hear him playing on festival Summer City in Poland or 3000 people could hear him playing in club Yes in China. At the end of 2008 Michael C found a new representation in Portugal and his about to play in Italy for the first time. As the only one Czech DJ Michael C performed at the legendary Euphonic night in Berlin and he twice successfully performed on a German festival House of Summer.
Sunshine Radioshow is another part of Michael's presentation. The show has far more than 100 editions and it is getting more popular. Every week you can listen to actual news in electronic dance music on two Czech and one international radio. Expect two hours show on Fun 1 Station and Sensation Factory, on Puresound FM it is just one hour mixed by Michael C. On Puresound FM Sunshine is broadcasted next to world famous DJ stars like Andy Moor, Matt Darey, Adam White, Marcel Woods and many others.
