Producer, remixer and highly skilled DJ Pete Nouveau was introduced to
dance music at the age of 13 when he was first captivated by the early
dance scene around Sydney. Inspired to learn the art of turntablism...
...he acquired his first pair of 1200s two years later and started developing his mixing skills. He quickly discovered a love for underground house music from various genres and spectrums.
Securing his first gig back in 2000, Pete Nouveau has been showcasing his skills in the biggest and most respected clubs in Sydney, including Yu, Moulin Rouge, The Cross, Havana, Arq, Mylk, Dragon Fly, and So-Ho to name a few, playing along side some of the most famous names in the Australian dance scene. He has also had the privilege of supporting international DJ's Spencer Parker, Ben Watt, Dubfire, Stephan Bodzin, Stacey Pullen, Steve Rachmad and Richard Dinsdale where he was asked by Richard to join him in the last half an hour of his set.
In 2004 he started writing and producing his own tracks. After playing around for a few years Pete got serious about his music. He finished his first full length track "You're Listening" in 2007 and was quickly picked up by german label Elektrotribe who had the track signed to their "Tech my house 2" compilation, released on the 20 May 2008. Since then Pete has gone on to remix tracks "Helpless In Remscheid" (Elektrotribe Records) and "Watch Your Step" (Low Pressings)
2007 & 2008 are looking to be a big year's for Pete Nouveau, his track "You're Listening" was signed to Elektrotribe Records, and he is promoting his own parties with the first one being "Circuit Benders", which featured UK international (Richard Dinsdale, Ministry of Sounds newest resident, Toolroom records, OM, Rennaisance, Global Underground). Having the attitude never look back Pete Nouveau plans to release his first EP very soon, and to constantly push the boundaries of his producing, remixing and DJing skills.
2009 is looking to be a big year for Pete Nouveau with his first EP "When Sounds Collide" out on Feb 19th through Elektrotribe and a second EP due out in May on the Beat Code Label.
