Michal Poliak (CZ)
[Techno, Electro, Trance]
Michal Poliak, young but promising and talented DJ, producer and promoter is known in whole Czech Republic as a great entertainer, skilled DJ with feeling for groovy sets which makes you dance.
He is oscilating between tech- electro and tech- trance. Michal has made his first DJ experience in year 2001 where he met DJ Preach in vinyl shop. They become friends and Preach tough Michal the technics of mixing. Also, he debuted on public there.
After his return back to Czech he starts his carieer as a DJ BB Mike in prestige music club Fabric. Also he begun with his own parties called Amnesia and Insomnia, which were very succesfull. In short term he appears in a famous Czech clubs such a Paradogs, Fabric, Boby, La Rotta, Barumba etc. and many other places and gigs.
In 2003 he has become a resident DJ of the oldiest indoor party - legendary Citadela and soon he had other opportunities to play for thousands people - Antistatic, Ibiza, Observer, Stereodrome. In September 2003 he started together with DJ Preach tour around Bulgaria, Croatia etc. And together they also returned gack to the roots, to the Montreal where Michal had gigs too.
Next year is Michal Poliak resident of O Seex parties in Brno, Block club in Breclav and in Mallorca. Had gigs in Austria, Slovenia and Croatia, and for example Cube club in Quebec. He stays some while at his friend Preach there and learns how to produce his own tracks. In 2005 he became a resident of newest big indoor party called Imperium. In summer that year he plays his sets in big open airs Hradhouse, Sunstorm and in Slovakia - Hrad 05 on Beckov castle. Also he released his first mixed compilation Citadela Vibe III.
His favourite producents are Preach, Oxia, Technasia, Southsoniks, Len Faki, Corvin Dalek or Oliver Lieb is obvious, that for Michal are typical varied sets combinating energic beats with melodic with melodic and soft arranges. This year has been a breakthrough for Michal - he has changed his nick from BB Mike to his civil name Michal Poliak.
He is working very hard on his own production, at the beginning of the year he released two new tracks - "Gitara" and "Lady in Black", you can hear them on compilation Citadela Vibe III. What is topic of the day - Michal Poliak and DJ Orbith released new vinyl called PHANTOM EP at label Qrime records and there's coming tour around Czech and Slovak republic. Also, there is bootleg Crazy (Gnarls Barkley) about being released in few days.
