DJ-k / Deniscratch (BR)[Breakbeat, Turntablism, Electronica]
DJ Denis aka Deniscratch had his first contact with the disc-players in 1991, when he did a disk jockey course, from Fieldzz of DJ Iraí Campos. He learned to mix playing breaks, hip-hop, hip-house, italo house, and others '90's sounds.
He'd always liked doing sounds fusions, great mixes, scratching with very well selected musics. In the very beginning of his career, he was said in Érika Palomino's book, "Babado forte", in 1999 (p.137) and in the magazine "DJ World" No. 9; furthermore, was invited to play in the radio "Energia 97,7 fm", from Sao Paulo.
He played in the biggest raves and in the best clubs in Sao Paulo, as known: Aloca, U-turn, Lov.e, Manga Rosa, Avonts, Space, Fusion, Klato Barada Nikto, as many others. In 2007 he went to Toronto, Canada, to search new sounds and bring a new material, and he found in breakbeat the inspiration, a fusion of all sounds he'd ever heard, since the beginning of break & freestylers era to the most recent breakbeat icons.
In march 2008, went to Winter music Conference and noticed there are very great new songs and new talents appearing, but breakbeat keeps unknown. DJ Denis nowadays is playing Nu old school breaks, one of breakbeat's strands. "Like a musical instrument, the life only is worthwhile to be survived while the body will be able to produce music."
