Johannesburg based club DJ & producer, Chris Stock entered the electronic music industry just over five years ago because of inspirational artists such as Sasha & John Digweed. His genre of music could be described as not in one particular sound...

...or direction drifting between beat driven progressive house, stretched dub edits & "crisp" breaks. When performing live audiences can expect an emotional "electronica" ride combined in mid tempo grooves, with sets often leading to something unexpected such as hip-hop or classic dance.

Alive & soaking progressive rhythyms started his DJ career in underground broadcasts on a Johannesburg based Radio X station, 5FM's Vinyl Frontier, various events & alongside acclaimed producer / DJ dealer from the USA. Exposure in & around Johannesburg heard & featured him at clubs & lounges like 180 degrees, DJ Lounge, Simply Blue, Coral Blue, Vertigo, Malabar, Miami, FTV, Corona & Submission.

In 2008, Chris & partner Glenn Topping saw the release of the song "The Perfect Fifth" as a sample of the correlation of performance based ideas of "The Fifth". With today's technology, the combination of DJ'ing & music production "is the way forward" through software such as Ableton Live & hardware made possible with Allen & Heath Xone midi interfaces. This is a new era in our music industry, one which celebrates the digital in electronic music - where any sound is possible through a computer & the touch of a rotary.
